When Isolation Is A Home Poem by issam hal

When Isolation Is A Home

Rating: 5.0

I will spend a night staring at the moon.
Because i know it's my time to be alone.
When everyone follows the lights and follows the crowd.
I'll keep my soul waits for this boundless road.
So cold, im chilly here i barely smoke.
It sounds to me hard to move like im stable rock.
And so quiet, i hear the silence speaks leading me to the place
Where i found the eternal peace.
That peace i admit it a fake.
I know i can not keep i can not take.
But it's the intimate world.
I live passion, devotion that i couldn't ever hold.
Coz all i can taste is this moment.
And all i can breathe is this life.
And all i can feel is this inspiration.
Reminds me of allll the things i crave.
and allll the love i save.

When I saw all the 'L's in the word 'all' before I began to read, I wasn't sure that it was going to work here. But the poem masterfully captured the feeling and sound of a stiff cold lonely breeze blowing through a chasm or cavity. I know this lonliness well, this fading away while fighting for the love that can save you. Great Write! Be Well

‘When everyone follows the lights and follows the crowd. I’ll keep my soul waits for this boundless road.’ ~ Indeed so and verily exact…let us be our own…interiorize…discover the in-built pitcher for ‘allll the love i save.’…deep poem …emotives are finestly worded… thanks for such a nice poem… Ms. Nivedita UK 10/10
