Adedolapo Olisa Poems

Have you ever seen a man happy to die?
running and eager, gazing at the site
with doubts resounding and questions like 'WHY'?
but in all still longing for the bitter bite.
...

After a long while, i now need to sit and think
as a lot has happened in my life i thought was still very short.
I now miss my brothers and sisters, so much
that i sometimes go to bed when i don't feel sleepy
...

Above all lies one virtue
the commandment's summary
and our duty to man and heaven
but in lack to all in existence.
...

Losing a poem is like losing a life
A poem that seems set to make history
then itself now becoming history
by a saddened mystery
...

Pay me to trust, really, pay me with a blank check
on a platter, make it a sweet story just to trust
fix my history, mould my present
hold my future, meet my prequisite just to trust
...

The occupants of my mind:
Swift speed
calm terrain
emotion blitz
...

I live on earth with one single ambition
I want to get my crown, throne and mansion
I want to relax through worship to my father, not here,
Where to relax holily, I have to subdue temptation
...

The weary days are over
and now i can say it all over
to any one with a listening ear,
I mean all my errs
...

The limitation of a shallow mind
better still, a faithless soul
little like a mustard seed is all I need
but like a 'grain' of salt have I not
...

The brute Force of the WORD
Tells the wind mill to spin
it drags the wind's next of kin
buries its authority, and makes it a disciple
...

I grasped it, the tide of turbulence
I won it, the battle of belief
I fought it, the fear of fury
I taught it, the tips to taming
...

Who will I be?
depression sure will have revamped me
I bow my mind in adoration
To a truth that humbles my being
...

Sleep in darkness live likewise
awake and see
who collides? Is it not only in darkness of day or mind?
Rays of diffusion in penetration
...

Stepped into a smoothly and evenly sharp and sharpened metal
and it did not hesitate to pierce all through to the other end of my feet
I felt pain?
Smashed my head into a wall that seems like a thin layer of glass
...

The complex really is so simple
big significance accompanied by exagerated notion but how big is the hinderance?
wake up and there by your side your Bible
Pray to the Spirit of understanding for direction
...

Her smile so charming
princess with a fierce king
subtlely mean and diplomatic
she slams my ego but still leaves me blushing
...

Combustible and humble?
explosive and indestructive?
...

Why do I climb you? or try or even want to try?
every choice I desire to align with your track
I counter choose just to realign too!
...

21 days they say
Stop habits, memories
Begin a new you
But, I like the old me

Have You Seen?

Have you ever seen a man happy to die?
running and eager, gazing at the site
with doubts resounding and questions like 'WHY'?
but in all still longing for the bitter bite.

Shame, reproach, delusion;
all bygones to his desire
staring and focused without a clause
as he desires been breathless even at all cost.

Plunged through physical wilderness
with eternal scars becoming symbols, I ASK?

Have you seen LOVE?
I mean to its fullness
when one loves in sadness
and cares more for his own traitors
all for the ultimate price of being the SAVIOUR.

Have you seen JESUS?
Our Lord and Source.
He lived as a sacrifice
for the sake of the price.
