When I Talk To The Trees Poem by Joyce Hemsley

When I Talk To The Trees

On the plains, down leafy lanes
My wonderful man took my hand.
On the shore, across the moor,
Love of a beautiful lifetime began.

In the sun, we had such fun
As days passed by, one by one.
Hearts ruled heads and we were wed
With teardrops seldom shed.

How can I reveal just how I feel?
I know for sure our love was real.
Those magical memories linger still
When I talk to the trees on yonder hill.
