When I Am Gone Poem by Randy McClave

When I Am Gone

Don't miss me to much when I am gone
Please remember to always carry on,
Don't let tears and loneliness be your fate
Remember I was so very happy to have you as my mate.
Though I am not with you anymore
Please enjoy your life I do sincerely implore,
I know truly that I would feel like a louse
If I thought because of me, you never left the house.
Remember, you I will always miss
And I will always remember our first, and our last kiss,
But, now since I am gone I will ask you please
Every moment that you have, please seize.
A life was given for one to enjoy and to give
So, I please ask you to try to smile and to always live,
And though from you I now have sadly left
Please know, I don't want you to ever bereft.
