When Did He Grow Up Poem by Kaila George

I was sad to learn

That my boy will be leaving home

Sigh…I think to myself

When did he become a man?

He wants to pursue his dream

I think it is a wonderful dream

He has a natural talent

Of music and humor, that just captivates your soul

Arts and crafts is what he wants to do

Singing and making people laugh

He is a talented and a gifted soul

I love him with all my heart

However, it is time to let him go

Nevertheless, I will miss him so

As I pack away his things to go

My heart just breaks at knowing

He will no longer be at home

Sigh…I will miss him so
