Wheel Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Wheel

Wheel

Most of day did art work
-with Karen and Carlos
-on booklet and the sound
-"Book is to support film! "
-"Audience is rock so chisel, carve."

Then went to old friend
-of over fifty years…
-he is sick with cancer…
-drove him as a kind driver
-took him where he shelters

"Must come in…" insisted
-we got off, went, entered
-in the cozy backyard
-landscaped great, nice
-large table in center
-umbrella, fireplace
-B-B-Q was covered

We sat and his daughter
-in designs a master
-came to us and purpose
-to serve his dad's friend
-then after her husband
-a bright and artist, a builder

In between time spent
-was on reading poems
-and shopping feta cheese
-and lots of nuts purchased

I avoid the junk food
-eat healthy instead…

The daily life I see
-does not look so lovely
-prefer death, going
-but why not walk on feet,
-while I am breathing?
-do not want bed or wheels!
