What You Take When You Walk Away Poem by Cora Lee

What You Take When You Walk Away

Rating: 5.0

All my thoughts they twist around,
yelling to you without a sound.
While they try to fight, and win,
for you to cause another sin,

When you scream, my heart it falls,
goes down and down, to you it calls.
I beg and plead, you walk away,
you'll say you'll come another day,

When my lungs fell like they could break,
when you only took my heart away.
Truth it tears at my every limb,
the light it bright, my heart is dim,

The light it hits you dark brown hair,
as you walk away I stare.
Unable to keep my legs from shaking,
from the life of me your takeing.
