What You Need Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

What You Need

What you need

What you need is mind's eye
-too busy, full of thoughts
-of glide as an art…

Now, look up in sky
-silhouette in clouds
-an eagle in flight.

The sky is in bed
-sleeps in blankets,
-of cotton; flat, soft,
-bumpy are few parts;
-all grey, mourning, dark.

Stare at lone eagle
-spreads its two wings
-are fixed but flexing.

Now is time
-rent your mind
-be that bird;
-have those eyes.

Freely look around
-locate and focus on
-the prey in current
-see speed, calculate

Maneuver, use feathers
-turn tail for directions.

No worries if you lose
-forget it, become none
-as we are, we, mankind.

Remember, ask yourself:
- "What is this selfishness?
-I, Me, My…? "

What are these palaces?
Stay out of White House!
