What To Fall In Love With About Her. Poem by Leah Ayliffe

What To Fall In Love With About Her.

Sometimes she wears Fanta orange fruit flavoured lip balm that would be yummy to kiss.

She enjoys all genres of film, same goes for music.

She dances randomly whether or not there is music playing.

She likes to write letters and notes of sweet nothings.

Her eyes change from dark brown to hazel to sometimes even green if you get her to cry.

She takes pleasure in listening to any story or thought, no matter how short or long the tale, especially if the speaker is passionate about it. She loves to listen, it's easy to see that about her.

She likes to do whatever brings her company joy, seeing them happy brings her some of the most genuine happiness she has known. She'll do whatever you want to do and be thrilled about it 9/10 times.

When she wants something, she'll go get it. She'll tend not to vocalize it and just get it in a way where you'll never know what it was she wanted.

She always has left over food to share.

She is not afraid to go out on the dance floor alone, but is also a wicked dance partner if you like to get weird.

She has a way of making the mundane, interesting.

She is good at being alone, proud to be weird, and would never ask another to change who they are. You be you, as she is herself.

That being said she would rather spend time with you than alone (if she finds you that is) .

She likes roller-coasters, and anything that goes fast, and boating across lakes on a hot summers day is the most serene thing in the world to her.

She has wild curly hair, strawberry blonde. or Red. Whichever you prefer.

She will get angry if you call her a ginger - but I think that's something you could love about her too.

She likes to be lazy and do nothing all day but lay in bed and stare at the ceiling.

She likes to do everything and go on all the adventures that make their opportunity known and available on whim.

She is always available on a whim and happy to be called on for spontaneous fun.

She has a strange obsession and fascination with astrology.

Chocolate chip cookie dough, or Chocolate, are her favourite flavours of ice-cream.

She has long slender fingers, and from her hand writes the things that stay inside her mind that cannot find her lips.

She believes that kindness and gentleness can overcome anything bad and it IS contagious and will be the only power that will save the world.

She is a lovely contradicting mixture of wisdom and child-like naivety.

She loves laughing and will laugh at your jokes as the day is long, whether they are stupid or genius. It's one of the things that she loves most.

Make her laugh. Maybe then you'd be in love.

She can pass several hours happily on a long drive, being in motion calms her mind.

She talks out loud sometimes without realizing until questioned about what was said - same goes for laughing at things she is reading. And it's quite uncontrollable.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

In truth, a delightful and original poem. For my own part, I make the same observation as W.B. Yeats, in the concluding lines to his last lyric poem in 1938, 'But O that I were young again.'
