What Matter If My Rhymes Not Good Enough Poem by Francis Duggan

What Matter If My Rhymes Not Good Enough

Rating: 5.0

What matter if my rhymes not good enough
And if they seem a bit slipshod and rough
And what matter if none never them recite
I only write because I love to write
Why bother to write some to me do say
Since for your efforts you don't receive pay
That's their opinion and that does suit me fine
For I don't see that as any business of mine
My worth as a writer I do always doubt
But there's always something for to write about
In Nature and life material for rhyme abound
And inspiration in such things to be found
If I told you I'd stop writing that would be a lie
I will pen on until the day I die.
