What Mary Had Poem by gershon hepner

What Mary Had

Mary had a rack of lamb,
she had it off the bone;
If Mary would have ordered ham
she'd not have walked alone
as now she must, poor Mary, she
is going places sheepless.
I think that Mary's lamb must be
what's making Mary sleepless.

(8/4/98-Written in a restaurant in Salt Point Creek, near Fort Ross, where the food was erroneously described as dynamite.)
