What Is Left Poem by Thomas Ware

What Is Left

Signs, in and around stone.
Iron, onto leather sewn,
Steel, hewed into flesh and bone,
Gold, scattered in the loam,
Saliva, lathered into foam,
Blood, on the wind is blown,
Bodies, lifeless lying prone,
Glass, in which the death is shown.
Signs, of the death of a throne.
