What A Dream Poem by Benjamin Dotse

What A Dream

Rating: 5.0

steadily i stand the test,
finally it's the end,
crown of victory upon my head it laid
as with persistence, i became the best.

Reward and honor is my crest
boldly i hit my chest
YES, for passing the test
SILVER around my neck
and pure GOLD around my wrist

Over hills and mountains my name trend
they bow at my feet
pouring fine drinks and wine

In the castle i stay
kings-men and knight men, they salute me.
At each roar i make they slumber,
at the sight of concubines i show mercy,
just open my eyes to realize its a dream in dismay.

Keep on dreaming Benjamin. One day you will wear the gold if you keep poetry.

It was a marvellous poem written with great skill. The poem is highly rich in imagery and style. I liked it very much. A fine 10. Thanks for sharing..... Kindly read and rate my poem 'A humble complaint' on page 2. Warmest regards Akmal
