Welcome To Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Welcome To

Welcome

I live in Toronto, Canada
-where trees and roadsides
-have décor for wise eyes
-of caring to remind…

I feel shame when seeing
-lot of junks on the road
-on grass and asphalt
-junk, junk, junk…

Trees buds are dying
-thanks to bags, plastic
-worn and torn, are dancing
-in the wind ad breeze…

Many cups on the ground
-and smashed-carton-box;
-chemicals' and the pulps…

Forks, spoons, wrapping sheets
-and frames for holding
-chocolate's, other things'…

We deserve choking in
-the mass of plastic…
-for the junk that we eat
-shit, shit, shit…

No doubt we deserve it!
How can't we?
How can we?

We are worse than these words!
We are of no value, unworthy!
We are shame and nor more!
We are less than eyes see!

We deserve living in
-the swamp in making
-by our own carelessness
-throwing everything…
