While the UK and US
have used targeted killings
to rid themselves
of some of their citizens
who chose to fight for ISIS
preventing them
from ever returning home again
Canada's Prime Minister
when questioned in the House of Commons
couldn't say how many
of these despicable people
had already returned to Canada
though it could be at least 60
but he was quick to assure Canadians
his government was looking out for
their safety and had in place
reintegration programs for these
returning ISIS members
it is hard to imagine
what a reintegration program would look like
given the nature of the crimes
committed by ISIS
the systematic rape torture and attempted genocide
of certain populations of people
and when you look at this
from the point of view of what justice
should look like
given the nature of the crimes
the idea of a mere reintegration program
is the moral equivalent
of a "welcome home boys"
for a group of merciless fanatics
who having taken part in a murderous rampage
ought to be executed but now
are just taking a break
between jihads
I'm surprised Trudeau
didn't give them a parade
just to pick up
a few more votes.
