Weeping Poem by Roger Harrison

Weeping

just like the weeping willow I cry too

we both cry over the lost of you

going whichever way the wind blows

like the way your sable hair use to flow

I wait every night for your loving return

as every night of you I dream and I yearn

the flowers in the garden whisper your name

they speak of how your beauty puts them to shame

why we parted is something that I'll never know

did our love die or did it just no longer grow

living souless in the land of all alone

drowning in my sea of tears of your gone

for an eternity soaking wet will be my eyes

like a weeping willow that forever cries
