The Red Sea Poem by Roger Harrison

The Red Sea

Slashing red waves make the sea

Poisoned by love and all its toxicity

No lifeboat on which to make escape

Drowned three times in passions lake

Death's sweeping wind blows in the night

Pouring darkness covers the last flicker light

Burning red eats the remaining fragments of day

Depression of the night comes out to play

Until red releases from wrist and nose

I am subdued by the red seas throws
