Weep For Joy Poem by Moto Wamwanga

Weep For Joy

I was carried joyfully far away
By an amazing, steady elation
That ignited me and like a butterfly
In a safe meadow or a kite I danced in the sky,
And flew like those rare birds of spring, the day
I found out that my germs, oh celebration,

Had finally given a fruit. The whole week
Could actually witness,
Every single day, the joy and happiness
That drove me crazy and made me weak.
Seeing that divine fruit in the uterus
Moving, changing positions, oh glorious

Be the Lord, overwhelmed my heart with joy
And I suddenly wondered if it was a boy.
I started straight way forging arms
To protect you from potential harms.
I could not wait to hold you in my arms,
Legate my love that nothing can destroy

Through your life, the gift that no one
Would never break or take away.
I was flooded with pride
To know that soon you'd be by my side.
I was over the moon, whether I'm gone
My progeny would forever stay.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It feels great when you find out to be a real man or woman. It feels really amazing to realise that you can be responsible for someone else who would call you dad.
