Wedding Dress Poem by Randy McClave

Wedding Dress

I must confess
I want to see her in a wedding dress,
And also next to me
At the ceremony.
I want to hear the vows made
After we both had prayed,
Then I want to hear her say, "I do! "
Then, "I love you".
I want to see her throw the bouquet
On her special day,
And watch the flowers the bachelorettes try to catch
Soon a husband they too will fetch.
Then I want to remove her garter
While watching the bachelors push and barter,
And each male will seemingly beg
To catch the satin band that held the stocking on her leg.
Then I want to hear all the cheers
And then to see her joyfully in tears,
Then I want to feel the excitement and the fuss
As the rice is tossed at us.
Then in a limousine I want us both to sit
And our love to each other we will again admit,
Our love God he will bless
I know when I see her in her wedding dress.
