We Will Build A Shelter Poem by Paul Reed

We Will Build A Shelter

We will build a shelter, you and me
Whose loving walls will enfold
A place where only we can be
To see us safe as we grow old;

We will build a home, you and me
Where fears are not allowed
Where our hearts are content and free
Away from the rushing crowd;

Our house will be such a special place
A retreat from the world outside
Our very own defended space
Where we will happily abide.
