We Still Rise Poem by Lore Me34

We Still Rise

You got mad because of the Obama years. In him you saw what we could truly be and it woke up your fears. In Obama you saw us as a Christian, family man and a leader for all people. You got scared of our strength so you elected Trump as your new leader. You figured his hateful views and policies would put us back in our place and remind us to you we are the inferior race. But instead we turned it all around we did not run hide we are here standing our ground. Letting you know that there is nothing you can do to take our eyes off the prize; because just like air we still rise.
We rise
We rise
We Still Rise! ! !
