We'll All Go Round The Circle Poem by Mark Nichols

We'll All Go Round The Circle

Each time we started with a meditation
A shout out to the heavenly within
'Look here! Show your faces! '
We begged from the hill
Begged for synchronicity to bend at our will

And then in time we would climb
To the fields below
A design to blow their minds
Everybody soon to know

Everything's a circle
It's all sacred geometry
And that's the way that things ought to be

You can say that everything I do is just a lie
But I only do the things I do to survive
To keep hope alive

So let's all go round in circles
Shall we all go round the circle?
Yes, we'll all go round the circle when we go
Trickster goin' round the circle
God is going round the circle
Pass the feather round the circle when we go

I wanted so badly to see
So I let my faith grow strong
Yes, I believed in most of what I read
What I saw, and heard, and said

Yes, I'll admit it was me, eventually
Building circles in the fields
Of possibility
Just a board, some rope, and coffee
And a vision to begin
To make the perfect alien

Now I have to stay ahead
All these patterns in my head
It's so tough to keep a job now
With the hiding in the hedgerows
And the summer nighttime runs

So let's all go round in circles
Shall we all go round the circle?
Yes, we'll all go round the circle
When we go

There's a circle in the circle
Our intention is a circle
Buddha's hopping round the circle
When we go

Sacred math is in a circle
Hand in hand around the circle
Moon is up there like a circle
When we go

So let's all go round in circles
Shall we all go round the circle?
Yes, we'll all go round the circle
When we go
