What Is A Woman? Poem by Mark Nichols

What Is A Woman?

By Mark Nichols & Bob McAllister

What is a woman?
What Is a Woman?
A blossom at dawn
Filled with dew and lilac
Cowslips and fragrance
Skin like honeysuckle

What is a woman?
What is a woman?
A being who plunges her hands
Into rivers of eternity
A girl who talks to bluebirds
And weaves necklaces of daisies

And sometimes the crash and lilt of her voice
Makes men go crazy
Eyes that flash and flush
With fire and ice a sidelong glance
Like the moon rising over
The alters of Stonehenge

What is a woman?
What is a woman?
A blend of mystery
Magic a stew of surprise
A flagon of joy
A beam of lantern light

What is a woman?
