Weightless Man Poem by Mark Nichols

Weightless Man

Many people think they need security
They like life fixed and planned
Not me
I'm free
For I am a weightless man
That's right

I am a weightless man
I can float
Yes I can
I'm as light as a thistledown
Light as a thistledown
Happy as a hummingbird
Winds may blow and I may go
Never worry, never know
For I am a weightless man

Many people want what's coming to them
They want what's in the plan
Not me
I'm free
See I am a weightless man
That's right

I love to interfere in other people's affairs
I live off Bee's wax and chocolate éclairs
Yes, I do, because

I am a weightless man
I can float
Yes I can
I'm as light as a thistledown
Light as a thistledown
Happy as a hummingbird
Winds may blow and I will go
Never worry, never know
For I am a weightless man
Yes I am a weightless man
That's right
