We Know More As We Get Older Poem by Hebert Logerie

We Know More As We Get Older

Knowledge is like the deep sea
While I travel, there's more to see
I thought I knew a lot, but I was wrong
I'm careful; I don't want to bite my tongue.

The sky looks blue but in reality, it is not
The ocean appears blue also, right?
Guess what the answer is, my friends
None of them is blue. Let's clap hands.

You and I don't know much; we learn as we go
We are somewhat limited. The earth is spinning
But we don't feel it unless there's a tornado
Or an earthquake. Let's drink and let's sing.

Nobody is dumb, because there's a lot to learn
Let's take it one day at time. For more, we can yearn.
