We Are Free (T) Poem by Tommy Mikkelsen

We Are Free (T)

A glistening tear smiling, ready to say goodbye
leaving towards a better place, than the fall of my eye
growing weaker each day, lost and sinking into oceans
the fragile tear needs to float, somewhere else

Melancholy sorrow suffocates the tear's echo
already gone, but never forgotten, never lost
I embrace sheets, in order to maintain pride
can't bend and break, silence may hear

Invisible voices rape the corners of my mind
time to pray, no time to cry
a true story of a crystal clear night
shattered by a deep dungeon depression I

A psychological game only misery understands
from tear to sea, from sea to ocean
I can't be calm, when waves are distrupting me
a chemical coctail no one ever invented

But courage finds me, and open my abandoned eyes
I see a tear, evolving into two
though what we been through, they smile at me
no bird should be in cage, we are free, my everlasting friend.
