We All Have But One Country Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

We All Have But One Country

We all have but one country,
We carry one race in our veins.
We must then love it faithfully
Or bring freedom down the drain.

Some crooks seek to conquer and take
Our land, terrorize our people.
There are steps and choices we make
To assure that they won't be able.

Because to fail is to bow in defeat,
Silenced into lame Cowardice,
This freedom we have we will forfeit-
And our land will lose its peace.

Unless brave men stand up and fight,
Ruthless forces will run take us over.
We hold on to what's true and right
In unity, we have such great power.

Our fathers have fought for this land,
Our flag bears the color of their blood.
We can't give this country into their hand
This land is our own, given by God.
