The pain like a knife,
The guilt made a wall.
Stabbing my heart,
As I take my next fall.

We both fought the will,
We both tried to win.
We both lost the game.
We both scarred our skin.

I look to the sky,
But find no release.
I ignore all my passions
With relative ease.

Why can't you see?
I'm down on my knees.
The reason is you!
The victim is me!

Breathing the shadows,
My body grows weak.
I close my dead eyes,
My own blood will leak.

The wind in my ears,
The tears in my eyes.
My only regret?
No spoken good-byes.
