Waves Poem by Mai Murphy Venn

Waves

Rating: 5.0

When we think of waves
What springs to mind
The sunny sandy seashores
The foaming surfs
The stormy weather of the ocean
A soothing sound of calm
Echoes of a million seashells
Seagull's gliding on the rollers
Ripples engraving the sand.
But there are far mightier waves
The wave that has swept across the world
this has come and left its mark
We are now awaiting it second strike
But this wave is the sovereign of all waves
Its name is Coronavirus 19
Beware and be ready as it is imminent
Eliminating all ages and all creeds
Can we avoid this surge or not?
Wash your hands, wear a face cover
Will that save you or will it become immune?
Will there be a cure to drive it back?
Or will it be lurking around like the grim weeper
Could it be manmade, is it mother nature ways?

Telling the world something that is not listening to
