Watching You Walk Away Poem by Lorraine Licona

Watching You Walk Away

As I watched you walk away
today
I cried
But a strength inside
that was not there before
made me realize
That I won’t die if you leave
That I can survive -
I have.
I have a heart
I won’t crumble and fall apart.
I said to myself,
“Tomorrow is another day, ”
As I watched you walk away
