Was It You? Poem by Yewande Adedokun

Was It You?

He meets a girl who has lost control of herself
Couldn't do anything to change her
Go! Is all your mind tells you now
Was It you?

Was it you?
who lived in luxury the world talks about?
With the feel of only air beneath your feet
And the world seem to bow at your entry all the time
How are you now as your feet touch the ground?

The story of a man who gave it all for kindness
But the world repays with evil
I heard he turned into something lethal after the experience
Who will blame him? Was it you?

So, was it you?
Who said I will reap what I sow?
There are somethings I cannot totally change
My heart was broken, I'm not the same
And was it you who said it might not be the last?

Write comment. A nice repetition of question. Thanks
