When hope was sought, but not found
A warrior sat broken, fallen to the ground.
She sat there with no reason left the fight,
Holding on to nothing,
Yet still searching for the light....

She had a heavy heart
With so many feelings she couldn't explain
And whilst she tried not to fall apart
And all she wanted was a hero in this game...

I couldn't tell you a reason,
But I set out to prove
That the only thing I need to get me through
Is you

Although I remain broken,
Still bound to preying knees
To my heart, you have found
The lock and the key
And whilst I remain still,
Staying a few steps back,
It is your love that is pushing me forward,
To get me on track

You didn't run scared
You didn't walk away
You showed me you cared
And a connection was made.

You are my strength
That can't be explained
My desire to live,
My reason to play this game

Now the warrior stands,
With her hero by her side
Strong once again
And happiness can't be denied
All though times get stormy,
And she feels she has been left in the rain.
It is her hero that takes away the pain.
