War Has Broken!

Rating: 5.0

"war has broken!
war has broken!
do not weep my dear
put the children in bed
for their father do not wish
to return"

Fear crackling
under the shivering
moonlit night.

we look sideways
as bullets flashes by.

In trenches we have
built our graves
and in seas
and in rivers.

as men in lightening
courage
braves the wintry
midnight desert.

war has broken!
war has broken!
in the fields of life.

No reason for tears
For children above 15
Has suddenly turned into men
And
Women are no longer
Bounded by gender again.

War has broken!
War has broken!

In trenches
and in deserts wild
upon mountains cold
and in valleys like springtime.

Men and Women
have risen to fight.
For the end of slavery
is our right.

The nights in cities
Are no longer lit
And the forest and the deserts
No longer sleeps.

For fear roams wild
of a nuclear menace
from here to forever
to bring lives to an end

The world is chaotic
no longer the satellites beam
a constant flow of news
to our television screens.

Fear is spread
all across the globe
but do not worry dear
for the men are singing
a melody all too clear.

"war has broken!
war has broken!
do not weep my dear
put the children in bed
for their father do not wish
to return"

Through the valley
and up in the air
along the coastline
from here to forever

men have risen
to fight the tyranny
that do threatens
our future.
