Wall Poem by Ava Xyz

Wall

Pictures plastered to the wall.
Reminding you of adventures past.
There are smiling faces.
I see no frowns.
You only take photos of the good times,
trying to forget the rest.
The pictures are there to remind you,
lest you forget.

Years back new pictures replaced the old.
How can they be happy?
Your face looks so cold.
I can't see their light.
They hold no memories for me.
You've long ago thrown out the good times that we shared.
When did your face grow so thin?
You've wasted yourself away.
There is nothing left of days of old.
Only new is alowed in.
There is no truth left in your eyes.
Who is this photo you pretend to be?
No one can smile forever.
