Walking Upon Desert Carpets Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Walking Upon Desert Carpets

Eyes closed, fingers strumming a classy guitar, pouring
melodies from a tortured heart of loss, love from another
dimension fading into the darkness of another time.

Not able to be held onto no matter how many tears fall
from these blue eyes, unable to focus on this earthly life
anymore, sinking into depths of sorrow.

Sadness penetrating this entire being now for the rest of
life on earth, walking upon desert carpets, silently dis-
appearing in a beautiful sunset.

One that will soon dissipate into nothingness, a world of
pain and sacrifice held within a lovers lonely heart through-
out the years.
