Walking Through... Poem by Michael Dikeman

Walking Through...

We walk though lives passing by. We stay, we go, yet we continue strive. Realize, as you walk, the paths you present, openings for those you may pass by.

They come and go, sometimes you are truly alone, noticing the silence, like the starry night, billions of roads you open for those though, even if you continue on yours unopposed.

Could someone present an alternative for this, a continuing path more well lit. Yet they come and go, brightness of torch held for a time, till they turn, lost in the mind that only Daedulus can create.

We love, we fall, we care, we give, let go of everything that is timid. Speak your mind, before those paths open up for those who are presented.

Realizations of where you stand, within high walls and mazes, confusing times are constantly present. Take their hand, while it's extended, choose a billionth path to walk together.

There's a greater chance for those who love, two light can burn the night, paths suddenly open up. Clearly seen, but with trepidation, the first steps are oh so easy.
