Stain And Lacquered Poem by Michael Dikeman

Stain And Lacquered

Rating: 5.0

There was once a life here, now stained and lacquered, but touch and feel, there it still lies, hardened and pained yet still alive.

Not always, but sometimes, I lose them as quickly as they come, images burn through the night, faces and places, they burn through the night.

The most creative times are in between, lying awake, images cross, all are new and foreign, amazing and beautiful, hurtful and sad, angered and balanced, they flash.

Tonight the universe fights, pushing against my might, over and over I try, my will is defined, I'll burn through the night to my hearts incline.
