Walking Away Poem by Randy McClave

Walking Away

When people put you down
Or treat you like a toy or a clown,
Nothing would I ever say
I would just turn about and walk away.

When fights can't ever be resolved
And hatred can't be solved,
Just look forward for another brighter day
But, first turn about and walk away.

When people don't see your true worth
It's time to tighten up your girth,
For them I would just pray
And then I would just turn around and walk away.

When people are just lying and using
And/ or cheating and/ or falsely accusing,
No matter the games that they are trying to play
I would just simply turn around and walk away.

The healthier and happier you will be
When poisonous and toxic people aren't in your company,
Guilt and remorse will never attach or stay
The more that you ignore, and just walk away.
