Walk On The Brightside Poem by Margaret Roe

Walk On The Brightside

As I walked all alone in the woods
My heart was at peace with the world
No noise or pollution around
Only peace and flowers abound
This little bit of England is mine
The trees like the arms of a lover
Surround me with comfort and strength
Sunlight is filtering through
Bringing light and shade to the view
Like the sun entering the woods
Peace can enter your heart
As the pace of life rushes by
We need to stand and just look
Stopping the rat race for a while
Stop chasing your tail it's no good
Relax go for a walk in the woods
See all the beauty and joy to be had
And it won't cost a penny it's free.
