Waiting On The Other Side Of The Door Poem by Scarlett Treat

Waiting On The Other Side Of The Door

Rating: 4.7

500 Miles,500 Miles,
I have come 500 Miles!
My taxi is lost, my luggage is gone,
But I am on my way! !

I am almost there,
Getting very near,
And dying with suspense - -
Oh, what will he say?

Will he welcome me with open arms,
With a kiss, and a loving smile?
Or will there be anger in his eyes
As he sends me on my way?

Will he tell me he waited forever,
And greet me as an eager lover,
Or will it all end, here and now?
Oh, what will he say?

The building of tension as the moment arrives. Especially after such a long journey. I hope the answer is in the positive. Nice write. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX

Anyone covering that distance, to be with that person, must be seriously in love with her.The yearning and the realisation that SHE is on the other side of the door will render him breathless with the anticipation of simply being together again. Nice write Scarlett and thanks for the dedication. xx
