Waiting Here Poem by Ray Hansell

Waiting Here

I feel like I'm locked
In a prison far away
I haven't seen your face
For far too many days

All day long I think of you
I feel that I should be
Right there by your side
Along, just you and me

Laughing and joking
Like we use to do
The happiest times I've ever known
Were always spent with you

I hope the love you felt
Is still alive and well
For if you no longer love me
It would be like sending me to hell

Just so that you know
My love for you is still strong
Everytime I think of us
My heart sings a song

I want so much to see you
I want to hold you once again
I know that when you're in my arms
The world is right and then

Everything is perfect
You'll be where you belong
Holding you in my arms
With a love that is so strong

So you see I'm counting the days
To when we'll be together again
A day I cannot wait for
The day I'll never want to see end
