Waiting For Your Call Poem by Ray Hansell

Waiting For Your Call

I sat by the phone
Waiting for your call
When the phone didn't ring
I felt my heart fall

I wanted so bad
Just to hear your voice
Not hearing from you
That was not my choice

I wished that you had called
Just to say, hello
I waited all night long
But then, how were you to know?

This is from back in the old days when people had a home phone. The world didn't run on cell phones like it does today.
