I sit here thinking of you
wondering how I ever made it through
and now it's hard to believe we found each other
to share this life we have together
not looking for love knowing you would come along
and steal this heart of mine away

Writing you in every song
knowing we just can't go wrong
now I can't seem to get you off my mind
leaving this darkness far behind
you're there with me night and day

And now that I have you here next to me
I need you forever by me to stay
I love you so much girl
you have come and brightened my world
just by every word I have heard you say

Waiting for you I have waited for that someday
and like your whispers in the night
we watch Eagles in flight
as we hold each other tight
knowing we both have tonight
