Wait Poem by Roman Nikolaev

Wait

Please, wait for me until the morning dawn;
Maybe one day I will return alive
And even if it’s certain to be tough
Please, wait for me until the song of larks,
For one should have a reason to survive

My majesty, the only one who can
Endow this beauty with a real soul
Please, wait for me instead of taking pens
And writing of your all unachieved goals
And loves that still await you where and when

Betray all those who care of themselves
Only for me your smile does not die down
Go to the wood to be consoled by elves
And you shall wear a tiny golden crown
For you’ve deserved it all, and no one else
