Wait Poem by Aaron Waingrow

Wait

Rating: 5.0

I sit here thinking of the days gone pass
When my heart turned stone and shattered like glass
In my chest smoldering, fading, broken, lay my heart
Clawed, cut, twisted, sheered, ripped and torn apart
All the lies, hate and hurt from ones claiming love
Down to my knees, arms raised up, seeking God above
Wait...
Wait...
Only with His perfect timing so right
Can a cold heart's fire set alight
Wait...
Wait...
A spark, flicker, warming, a flame starts to grow
Mending, feeling, blazing fires, this love you show
Wanting, needing, seeking for all that you give
Your smile, looks, soft words, this heart will live
We laugh, care, share, have fun, not causing strife
Holding, kissing, loving, the rest of our life
