Voice Poem by Rachel BaByBeAr Anderson

Voice

What could a voice carried amongst the winds do for me
could it whisper a thousand lies to help me sleep
and would it sing a lullaby to give me piece of mind
could it hush my crying tears as i continue to cry
would it shout at those who had once bargained me a friend
could it laugh with the cries of a million rejected men
and would it see me hold the hearts of those i so clearly hate
would it watch me tempt with the worlds untimely fate
and could it show me angles flying with their king
would it join their happy songs in which they happily sing
does it sing a song so loud that it would hurt my ears
will it walk a hundred miles to help me conquer my fears
and could it mend a broken heart with just three little words
or is this voice still full of anger because it feels its worth
could it ever love again or has it had its fill
does it belong to he who flies with angels still?
