Visiting Sparrows Poem by Tom Billsborough

Visiting Sparrows

Rating: 5.0

Coineau, coineau,
sparrow.. sparrow
my life's a flutter
with yournature
Your quirky games
Of follow my leader
Darting from the boughs of elder
Towards a tray of sunflower seeds.
Or sipping from a plastic box
Containing its rain-water
Together for your needs.
Coineau, coineau.
sparrow, sparrow,
May your party tricks endure.
They chase away the gloom, for sure!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Coineau was one of the first French words I learnt. It means sparrow and
I use it because of the similar cheerful sounds of the words.

thanks geoffrey and Robert. I'm off to Scotland soon. Maybe I should show the laughably named Truth the truth about my wife's death, assuming of course the Blathering twit can read a thing as complex as a death certificate. What about it, Judy babyt?
