Versace Poem by Wojja Fink

Versace

Rating: 5.0

Today I’ll wear Versace
Though it’s price beyond my ken

I swapped it for a song
Where shirts are sold again

Charity shops are cool
You never know what you’ll find

Hand made Persian rugs or
Binoculars for the blind,

Silk ties by the dozen
From names known far and wide

Today I’ll wear Versace
My poverty I will hide.

Cobalt blue the colour
Checked with yellow grey

That someone didn’t want
They just gave it all away

To the shop where you find Kashmir
At prices you can afford,

Today I’ll wear Versace
And flaunt it like a Lord.

Today I'll wear Vesace
Because I know I can

Today I'm dressed in blue
Because Sue's an avid fan.
