Vastness Poem by Luke Holland

Vastness

Rating: 5.0

Vastness

Where am I in this world?
Do I take an important place?
We live out our lives
But never see the bigger picture

We walk the Earth and ask the questions
But never try to find the answers
Like as the cheetah runs and the eagles soars
The black smog of doubt engulfing us

Worried people trawl around
Thinking of the wider cause
While Christians live their lives
Following the words, without a thought

As waves of questions
Flow into the sea of my mind
Before drowning me in deep feelings
I ask myself one simple question…

Do I believe?

Great job! I agree, it's really important to think about the big picture and try not to sweat the small stuff, such as a rhyme scheme... You are obviously going through some changes and questioning the meaning of life and where you fit in to this world as you grow in to a young man.I just want to let you know that you will get through this Luke, try not to worry if you haven't got hairs yet, everyone grows at their own pace. I know Lin and Bob would be proud. Go get 'em tiger x

Great Questions Luke, don't be too hasty to think you have the answers David.....And philosophers say the greatest question is 'Who Am I'
