Value Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Value

you got someone at home
whom you leave all alone
whom you leave all alone
it's a cheaters syndrome
when you are so selfish
and do things thats wreckless
but that's how the desperate
get a little of the love
feel a little of the lust, like
do it while the emotions take you over
cause the feelings usually don't lasts
coming home all hours of the night
out just having fun
and wouldn't care long as someones there
on the outside
to give you what it is you want
Understand my plan ain't your plan
Don't want any issues
Understand my plan ain't your plan
Cause I'll dismiss you
you were much more than that but lost your value
nothing can keep you satisfied
if there's no value
you will lose your mind when there's no value
once you've add up everything
you'll be confused, there's no way
you‘ll return to a time when you had no value
Ain't no telling what situations your mood put you in for
all i'm saying is you compromise the deal when you explore
the needs you feel aren't being met
when you have a hunger for more of that
but why, just let the special someone go, yes
if they can't meet anyone of your needs
then there's no way for love to succeed
cause you'll continue looking for
what you feel you are being deprived
until your heart is finally satisfied
and wouldn't care long as someones there
on the outside
to give you what it is you want
